Call for submissions!
Following the success of Everywhere Stories Volumes I & II, we are now preparing Volume III for publication in the Fall of 2018.
Everywhere Stories: Short Fiction from a Small Planet (Edited
by Clifford Garstang, published by Press 53) is an anthology of
short fiction (short stories of any length, short shorts, and flash) set around
the globe, including the United States. Volumes I & II both consisted of 20 stories by 20 authors set in 20 countries with Volume II not duplicating any countries in Volume I.
Volume III will consist of around 20 fictions with each story set in
a country that has not appeared in Volumes I & II (except for the US, where we will not duplicate a state). Included stories will be a mix of previously published and new
work. Each contributor will be entitled to a contributor copy and author
discounts on additional copies.
Deadline for submissions: November 30, 2017
Writers may submit more than one story.
What Countries? We will not be repeating the following countries (or states in the USA) from the following continents from Volumes I & II.
- Sierra Leone
- South Korea
Again, we are looking for stories set in countries other than the ones listed above.
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT STORIES FOR COUNTRIES THAT WE HAVE ALREADY PUBLISHED.

the story submitted is original and is not prohibited from publication by Press
53 by any previous publishing agreement. If accepted, the story shall remain in
print with Press 53 until the anthology is out-of-print. Author will grant
Press 53 non-exclusive world-wide publishing rights in exchange for one copy of
the completed anthology. Additional copies may be purchased at a discount for
as long as the anthology is in print.
